Because I spend far too much time running doing statistics I am a naturally curious person, I found myself wondering about how old people are when they start dating. I always thought I was a "late bloomer" because I didn't start dating until I was 15 (of course, at that point I thought that people who held hands in sixth grade had been dating for years), but I've realized that most of my real life friends did not start dating until they were almost done with high school or in college, if at all. So I'm curious -- when did you start dating? I mean actually going on dates, not hanging out with someone in school when you were 12 and calling them your boyfriend despite never having gone anywhere or even talked on the phone. You know what I mean.

And, out of curiosity, did you attend college? I'm curious if this is at all influential.

And then I may run a statistical analysis or something equally geeky that only thewesternsky will relate to.

See, I checked 15 because i dated one guy a little then. And we actually did have dates and stuff.

But then I took like 2 years off before I dated anyone else when I was 17. I really didn't date much in high school at all.

Haha wtf am I the only person who has dated non-stop since high school?

Well, my first boyfriend and I started "dating" when I was 14 -- like a few days before my 15th birthday -- but my first actual date was on my 15th birthday. Which, now that I think about it, why did I think that was so old at the time? Now I'm like OMGWTF 15 year olds don't need to be dating.

Then we dated for like a month, broke up, a few months later I started dating another guy for a month, broke up, about six months later I started dating another guy for a few months, broke up, then I went to Germany where I kind of dated this guy for about a month, and then I came back and like two months later dated like six people at once ... and then I haven't stopped since. Hahaha wtf.

Never really "dated" at that age, just hung out at school and at houses after school. The next year I had a boyfriend that I went to church with, haha.

So I feel the need to make a comment rather than picking an age... because I did go on a few dates when I was about 15... but then I didn't go on any dates until I graduated from college (like, last month). People didn't "date" in college. So I wouldn't really say I "started dating" at 15... but then again, I wouldn't say I started at 22, exactly. Sorry for being confusing!

You do NOT suck! And I for some reason just thought you dated and had been for awhile. (I actually have many RL friends who haven't started dating for various reasons ...) It's not like you lack boy interaction, though!

Well, I've never had a boyfriend, and that's what I would consider dating. I have had exactly two "dates" in my life, but i wouldnt even really call them that and they certainly didnt constitute "dating." you're right, i have my fair share of boy interaction, but somehow it never quite gets to the dating stage. It just stalls at "friends with benefits" or "one-night stands" or "drunken bar flirting." Interesting.

I was slightly confused, only because I know someone whose name starts with "azure" and I was going, "...did they change it? I'm a terrible lj friend!" I read the UMBC friends page too, though I tend to suck at commenting anyhow. But you're a member of boyskissing so you automatically get some love in my book!
